Kingman Transfer Company (c.1910-1921)

Sumner H. Beecher, founder and owner.

Sumner Beecher was born in Kingman AZ in the year 1886 and is believed to have been the first white child born in Kingman.

He opened the first laundry in town and also owned a Transfer Layout plant and Automotive Garage.

Our photo on the right is circa 1921, around the time that Kingman Transfer Co and Brawn & Robinson Transportation moved their location to the corner of Fourth and Beale Street, Kingman AZ.
